You can also sign up to the Corpus Playroom mailing list, which we run. You'll receive updates about the term's line up, various opportunities to take part and news of our latest events such as theatre trips. If you have any general questions not answered on this site, you can find who to contact, along with their email address, at the Fletcher Players Committee page.

LATEST NEWS
Last updated 22/08/2011

22/08/11 - The Management of the Corpus Playroom is being taken on by Cambridge University's ADC Theatre from October 2011. A new website for the Playroom is under construction, while the space itself is being re-developed. This redevelopment will see the dressing rooms and backstage areas overhauled, as well as a new Box Office being added. The majority of the £100,000 cost is being met by Corpus Christi College, supported by the ADC Theatre and other donors. The re-development builds on last summer's significant improvements to the audience seating, enabled by many individual donations. Productions will be ticketed through the ADC Theatre's Box Office, with a dedicated website for advanced sales, and productions will be featured in the ADC season brochure.

08/11/10 - Applications are now open to produce and direct shows at the Playroom in Lent 2011. Please visit our Applications page for more information and for the application form. Please note that the deadline for applying is Friday 19th November.

01/10/10 - Over the summer we've kicked off The Playroom Project by re-upholstering the seating, reconstructing the rake and installing a new carpet. Photos will be up soon, but do come along and see it in person if you can.

15/09/10 - The new term card is up! You can check it out at 'What's On'. In particular, on alternating Monday nights we have two fantastic new events: the Corpus Smoker, an evening of sketches, skits and stand up hosted by our own Pierre Novellie; and 'Hatch', an evening of serious new writing.

14/05/10 - The deadline for play applications for productions to be held in Michaelmas 2010 has been annouced. Please get your forms in to us by the 10th of June to be considered for a place in our term card. Visit Applications for more information.

05/05/10 - Welcome to the new website. Make sure you also check out the new Playroom website.

26/04/10 - The Fletcher Players would like to announce the opening of a new section of the Playroom website, and a new direction for the activities of the committee. Whilst you wait to find out what's on at the Playroom in Lent 2010, you can visit the gallery, where we've just put up photos from the Good. Clean. Men. sketch show, in case you missed the production or just want to revisit your favourite moments.

20/11/09 - Just a quick reminder that if you wish to produce or direct a play at the Playroom in Lent 2010, the deadline is rapidly drawing closer! Only one week until the interview process begins, and so applications received after Friday 27th November may find it difficult to secure a position on our term card.

06/11/09 - Unfortunately, Good. Clean. Men. has sold out for both tonight and tomorrow. Please do not turn up on the door, as there will be no available tickets. Also on this week is one of Joe Orton's earliest plays, Funeral Games, starting at 19:00 - don't miss it! To repeat, there will be no tickets available on the door for either the Friday or Saturday late show.

01/11/09 - The application process for Lent 2010 is now formally open! Please go to Applications to download a copy of the application form, or to our guidelines page for advice. Please don't hesitate to email us, and remember, the application deadline is Friday 27th November.

09/10/09 - Another change to our schedule this term - Henna Night, by Amy Rosenthal, has been moved to the main show in Week 2 as the production of Stockholm has been cancelled. As always, you can see the full calendar at 'What's On'.

08/09/09 - A quick update to the line up - 'Of Mice and Men', the Steinbeck classic, have unfortunately pulled out. However, two more shows have been announced: Stockholm, by Bryony Lavery, and The Lesson, by Eugène Ionesco. Check out times and dates over at 'What's On'.

24/04/09 - We apologise for the downtime over the last day or so. The SRCF, who kindly provide the hosting facilities for this site, was attacked and had to be taken down to repair the damage. Hopefully, the problem is now fixed. If you have any worries, please email sysadmins@srcf.ucam.org for more information.
